Trends for 2012: Seeing....Yellow!

Another great trend for 2012 is Yellow.  I really like this color.  I think it really looks good on most skintones.  Solange wears yellow alot, and I really like her style anyway.  She does her own thing, and it is fabulous!!!  She is not nearly as well known musically as her sister "Bey", but I have her album and I love it!!!  It came out a few years ago, but it has a great vibe to it.

Remembering Whitney Houston

It is so hard to believe that such a raw, unadulterated talent is gone from this world.  I grew up listening to Whitney Houston.  Some of her less known songs, such as "Miracle" and "You Give Good Love" were my favorites.  She had power behind her voice--when she sang, you could feel it all in your bones.  Her latter years were filled with lots of problems in her life, and I find it so sad that her life came to this.  I feel like people in her position are enabled to self destruct because they people around them depend on the for their job, for their livelyhood and their financial security, which is selfish.  Her problems were well known, and she needed help.  Let her life be an example that if you need help, thy your best to seek it.  If you see someone in need of help, try to offer it or point them in the direction of help.  Offer an encouraging word!!!  I am surprised when people tell me that a positive thing I shared with them helped them on their walk of life.  Treat people the way you want to be treated!!  Sincerity goes a long way.

Again, I am saddened by her death, I found it hard to sleep last night.  When God gets ready to call you home, doesn't matter your age, status, race, or the amount of money in your bank account.  We just have to be ready.  One thing I can say about Whitney, she always talked about her faith in God.  She had problems and was battling many demons, but I truly believe she was saved.  And in the end, that is the most important thing.

Clearance at Dillards

Many people shy away from Dillards because they assume it is a very expensive store. In actuality, you can find great bargains there. I purchase most of my dressy shoes/pumps from them. I love the Vince Camuto, Calvin Klein, Jessica Simpson shoes. They run around $60-$90 dollars regular price, but Dillards has BOMB shoes sales.
