Trends for 2012--Maxi Dresses

I love Maxi Dresses.  Maxi dresses are really on trend right now.  They are chic and comfortable.  I own many myself.  You can dress them down with cute sandals or flip flops, or can dress them up with cute accessories and heels.  They are really forgiving as far as fit is concerned.  Here are a few that I found while surfing the net today.

Atlanta Housewives' Fashion Recap

I absolutely love my Atlanta housewives.  My favorites are NeNe, Phaedra, and Cynthia.  On last night's show, Cynthia and her hubby Peter threw themselves a one year anniversary party.  I think the party was a little over the top for a first anniversary, but I guess they are just really happy they've made it this far.  I do appreciate that they don't run around acting like married life is not challenging.  They seem pretty real to me. Anywho,  here are my opinions of the fashions worn to the party...

Ne Ne looked like a million bucks in this Roberto Cavali dress.  I love her style!!!

Cynthia's dress was pretty too, but that hair took away from the intricate detail of the dress.  A simple sideswept bun would have been enough with this dress.  Mal's dress was beautiful, but she was too busy hating for any of us to notice.

What does Marlo have on?  She can do better than this.  Her style is so jazzy and modern, this seems like she is trying to portray something else.  Please change.  And where is Charles Grant?

Now don't get me wrong, I really like Candi's dress.  But this was inappropriate for an anniversary party.  Everyone else that I saw had on long gowns, and she looks like she is going to the club.

Sheree's dress is pretty as well, but I couldn't find a good shot of it.  She was too busy starting drama with Marlo and her hairdresser.  Seems as though Sheree loves to start mess.  I think Bravo is paying her to be two-faced.

Ok  I think every woman that is a shoe fiend like me loves Christian Louboutins.  You will see at least 5 or 6 different pair a week of you watch "The Real Housewives of Atlanta".  Anywho, these shoes retail for hundreds of dollars and are totally out of my price range.  I will get a can of spraypaint and color the sole of the shoe red before I pay for them.  I was doing a quick net search, and I actually found a clearance site for Louboutins.  The site is  www.redbottomshoesales.com.  Check out what I found....

Now, if you want to opt for an even less expensive option, www.milanoo.com has knockoff red bottoms (not Louboutins, but they look just like them) for a fraction of the cost.

Rhinestone platform, $62

Sheepskin Ankle-Strap Heel, $54

Apricot Sheepskin Heel, $56

Blue Stilleto Sheepskin Heel, $56

Fashion Friday Award: Kelly Rowland

wwww.thefashioncult.com

I really like this chic's style.  I think she is a beautiful girl, and she really knows how to work a red carpet.  I think she looks more edgy with her short hair or the curly locks.  I really don't care for her hair bone straight.  I am a big fan of hers!!!  I have her CDs "Miss Kelly", and her newest one, "Here I Am."  I think she is an underatted artist, but I blame her for that.  She should have hired better management and publicists.after the Destiny's Child broke up, instead of relying on Matthew Knowles.  He was too wrapped up with Beyonce!!  I am not feeling this whole "sex kitten" vibe she is trying to sell right now, but the girl can SANG and Dress.  Here are a few of my favorite looks of hers...
